THERE were queues on the M5 near Stroud this afternoon. 

Congestion was spotted on the motorway southbound between junction 12 and junction 13 due to a broken-down vehicle. 

The AA traffic system was in red on the stretch of the M5 at 12.50pm today, April 30. 

A spokesperson from National Highways said: "A broken down camper van was recovered from the northbound hard shoulder just beyond junction 13 around that time.

"It was towed to junction 12."
